Media Tagger
|
Good MP3 Tagger, do it based on folder & file names, rename files, download information from FreeDB based on text searches, or automatically for albums. It takes awhile to get efficient at using it, and no real help to speak of, but experimentation will make you good, and if you are like me, it's going to take you months to tag your collection as it is.

White List software that integrates with Outlook. Only people you put on your list will have their emails end up in your inbox, all others are quarantined. The only real solution to spam. You can have it respond to all quarantined emails with an automated message, so if your friend emails you from a new address, they just respond to the automated email and get added to your white list.

Homebrew Adventures

Everything Homebrew Related. I highly recommend their recipe kits, great for first timers & experienced alike. You can pick up quality gear here as well. Never, I repeat, never get a "Mr. Beer." First timers should always do their first batch with extract, pellet hops will do, and a big old kettle (biggest you can find). If you are try to start brewing beer, your first batch is going to be your most expensive. You should spend about a hundred bucks to get a starting equipment kit. Then you'll want to buy yourself two recipe kits. Something is going to go wrong the first time; and no matter the result of your first attempt, you're gonna want to try again. Finally, you should buy yourself a book on the subject. Ask any brewer what someone's first book should be on homebrew,
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing by Charlie Papazian
is "The Homebrew Bible". You're going to need bottles, no screw tops. That's easy, go buy 10 6-packs; drink, rinse, save.

HOMEBREW, FOOD & DRINK
HEALTH, NUTRITION & FITNESS

ah, homebrew. . . . tastes so good, so many varieties, beer . . . well, brewing your own beer is rather easy. and it doesn't take much to get started, for a little more than $100 you can be brewing your first batch. read the how to brew book. that and reading sites on yahoo should tell you everything you need to know. i can't remember where i got my starter equipment, but that place sucked anyway. now i pretty much do all my shopping at hombrew adventures. it's good place to get recipe kits. also, sign up for homebrew digest. scratch that, HBD is mostly dead now due to the rise of forums, use the brewboard instead. only drinking beer is more fun than reading about it. enjoy

The finest Pacific Northwest raw hops. The Pacific Northwest is to hops (and the new brewing revolution) what France is to grapes. ABOUT
|
This page is designed to be a startup page for your browser. Set it as your homepage in IE or Firefox. The top section includes links that you will want to hit on a daily basis or be able to access quickly. Below that is the menu for the rest of the page which you can jump to immediately by click the menu link at the top of the page. At the bottom of each section there are small links to either take you back to the top of the page, or to take you back to the menu. This page is always growing, but usually in spurts every other month or so. If you have any links you would like to see added, please send them to me and I will update the page. Any feedback on how to make this page more useful is also welcome.
A subtle feature of this website that you may not discover immediately is that all the links will open in a new window; however, all these links will open in the same new window. Allowing you to work with two windows on the screen, always having the quicklinks available to jump to the next site. Also, if you have any links that you think would help round out this page, please email me and send them on over.
Another feature you may not immediately notice is the hover links. I have used style sheets to force an IE setting that I like upon you. Links will not be underlined until you hover the mouse cursor over them. They will also change color when you hover, click, or have previously visited them.
I've now created dual styles for the links in html page. The top of the page is riddled with links that are useful on a near daily basis, or are useful to have at short order. I've placed the navigation section below the quick links section, and then the main page below that. For a long time I was using this page without that section at the top. Here's a copy of what it used to look like, check that out and let me know what you think of the difference.
Enjoy.
