There was a jack-o-lantern contest a couple blocks from my apartment so I took these shots of some pretty sweet carvings.  There was this guy there with his digicam on a tripod with his kid taking pictures.  I keyed him in on the money shot, with Batman in the foreground and Superman in the background.  I was jealous, because he was nerd enough to bring the tripod out for the best shot; but I still had to hook 'em up with the cool angle, go vertical to get them together.  I kind of wish I had taken a few more shots of Hobbes in the hopes of getting something a little clearer.  This woman watching me shoot it said she loved the Tigger one.  So I educated two people tonight; that's being a good samaritan, right?  Well, here is some of the top pumpkin art on display in Encinitas tonight.
